Learn to fit your Bodice, Skirts, and Pants in 2022

DATES: Monday-Wednesday, October 17-19, 2022

SCHEDULE: 9am-4pm (PST) daily Instruction with Laura. Additional after hours “Sit and Sew” time is from 5-8pm

SEWING SKILL LEVEL: Beginner with experience, to advanced

ABOUT THIS RETREAT: Learn how to fit from a basic fitting pattern for pants, skirts, and bodices with sleeves.

PATTERN: This class comes with a basic pant, bodice, and skirt pattern, received on the first day of class.

MEALS:  Lunch is on your own, but can be delivered.

BASIC SCHEDULE:

Day 1 Learn about fitting, how and where to fit. Sew your muslin for bodice, skirt, and pant.

Day 2 Fit clinic. Learn how to fine tune and fix your fitting issues.

Day 3 Start a project of your own using a styled pattern. The more you practice, the more you  learn!

ABOUT THIS EVENT:

  • To avoid contact with too many people, this location is self contained. Stay, eat, learn all in one place.
  • Our learning space is private. The general public will not have access.
  • The Columbia Room is 1000 Sq Ft, allowing each person plenty of space to work in.
  • Students must provide their own sewing machine and tools. Tables, chairs, iron with board, and some ironing equipment will be provided.
  • Please home test for COVID before you come. Wearing a mask is optional.
  • Sanitizing wipes will be provided to wipe the handles and doors, for use in the bathroom, irons etc.
  • Dinner and Lunch are no host.
